Google’s September 2026 Pixel Drop, announced September 15, includes changes to contact widgets, scam alerts and Pixel Watch interactions.
Phone features
Updated Pixel VIP widgets offer one-tap calling or texting, a floating navigation menu for switching contacts and notification badges.
Google also lists inline Gboard scam warnings in the United States and expanded Scam Detection for chat-app notifications in additional regions.
Watch improvements
Pixel Watch updates include improvements to Raise to Talk, more app integrations for One Handed gestures and other bug fixes.
The release also includes Harry Potter Audiobook Packs linked to Audible’s full-cast editions. Google says eligible Pixel users can receive a two-month Audible trial.
Availability matters
The announcement names regional and eligibility limits for some features. It should not be read as confirmation that every listed capability is available on every Pixel device.
Google directs users to its community release post for further details.
