Minecraft Dungeons II is scheduled to launch on September 29, bringing a more interconnected world to the action role-playing series. Xbox’s September 28 preview describes connected regions and a new dimension called the Sift.
Exploration between missions
The sequel moves beyond the original’s self-contained mission structure. Xbox describes travel between regions without loading screens, alongside side quests, repeatable encounters and expanded character builds.
Navigation tools include minecart stations, teleport statues and a temporary guidance trail for the active quest. The game also adds jumping and uses Unreal Engine 5, according to the publisher’s preview.
Platforms and access
Xbox lists Series X|S, PC and cloud access, plus Game Pass inclusion and Xbox Play Anywhere support. It also names Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
These are the publisher’s launch plans and feature descriptions. This report does not constitute a hands-on review or confirm that every regional storefront has unlocked the game at publication.
