Cohere has introduced North 2, an upgrade to its enterprise AI platform that combines a redesigned agent orchestration system with memory across sessions, shared libraries and reusable skills.
The company says users can create and share agents and automations, build documents or lightweight applications in chat, and connect the platform to workplace systems. Listed connectors include Slack, SharePoint, Outlook, Jira and GitHub.
North 2 supports Cohere models and models supplied by customers. Deployment options include cloud, on-premises and air-gapped environments, according to Cohere.
Governance alongside automation
North Admin adds user quotas, rate limits and organization-wide spending caps. Cohere also describes agent-level guardrails and human oversight for critical actions. These are vendor-described capabilities; the announcement does not establish independent productivity or security results. Cohere directs prospective customers to sales for a demonstration.
