Apple announced Creator Studio updates on October 27, with availability planned for November. The release combines editing additions with beta assistants across music and productivity apps.
Creative tools and assistants
Final Cut Pro for Mac gains integrated MotionVFX content and round-trip image editing with Pixelmator Pro. Pixelmator adds Generate Fill, while Logic Pro gains a redesigned sound browser, expanded drum separation and a beta assistant powered by Apple and OpenAI models.
Keynote, Pages and Numbers are also getting document-aware beta assistants and Model Context Protocol support, allowing external AI tools to read and edit content and perform actions.
Availability has qualifications
The assistants initially support US English and require Apple Intelligence-capable hardware with the relevant version 27 operating system. MCP support requires macOS 27 or later.
Apple says existing subscribers receive the November update at no extra charge. Canadian subscription pricing is CAD $17.99 monthly or $179 annually. Free versions of Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform remain available. The announcement should therefore be read as a forthcoming subscription update, with feature-specific requirements.
